Presented by Artists’ Legal Advice Services (ALAS) and Workman Arts: Creative partnerships thrive when everyone’s on the same page, both legally and creatively. This webinar breaks down the essentials of collaborative agreements and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) in plain language, helping creatives to understand common contracts they’ll likely encounter in their practice. Participants will learn how to structure agreements that protect their intellectual property, define roles and ownership, and set clear expectations before a project begins. The session will also demystify NDAs: how to read and understand the ones you’re handed to sign, what they actually obligate you to, and, when you have the right to push back or walk away.

Whether you’re co-creating with another artist, licensing your work, or sharing sensitive creative concepts with others, knowing what to put in writing (and what to question) is important to protecting both yourself and your work.
